Job Description

The ecommerce sales representative is a public-facing role with Industry West and a critical component in driving sales and delivering results. This person will be responsible for nurturing new leads interested in purchasing from Industry West.

They will primarily be responsible for staffing Industry West’s online chat sales channel and following up with new accounts and leads that come in via various online channels.

They will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that the Industry West brand in properly represented and our customers are satisfied.

An effective candidate for this position should be used to and strive under working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have an overwhelming desire to close every sale via chat, email or whatever digital channel may present itself.

The ecommerce sales representative will be expected to:

Role and Responsibilities

• Staff online chat a minimum 5 hours a day
• Follow up with new online accounts and lead
• Ability to determine customer requirements and expectations
• Possess excellent oral, written and telephone communication skills
• Demonstrate strong motivation to make sales using patience, persuasiveness and persistence
• Open new customer accounts and maintain customer records to build relationships
• Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service experience process
• Manage time effectively, meeting Key Performance Indicators with minimal supervision
• Drive overall business to consistently meet sales goals
• Attend industry events for brand development and relationship building
• Effectively manage large amounts of incoming chats and emails

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• College degree in related field

Preferred Skills and Education:

• Prefer 3+ years of sales experience
• Experience with Salesforce

Competencies:

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to determine customer requirements and expectations
• Possess excellent oral, written and telephone communication skills
• Proven ability to drive and close sales
• Manage time effectively, meeting Key Performance Indicators with minimal supervision
