The House of Hope was a three-year renovation project that began in 2017 and will open this summer. Formerly a detention center, the space had been left unused for many years before the idea to provide a shorter-term, emergency homeless shelter came to life.
Industry West provided furnishings for the House of Hope’s common areas, which includes two living room spaces and a dining hall with colorful chairs. Our team thoughtfully selected pieces that would help lend a feeling of comfort and safety to the space, but would also hold up for years of use. The common areas are connected to nine individual single-occupancy rooms, each decorated in its own style by a sponsor family or company. The House of Hope is truly a labor of love and a beautiful fruit of community partnerships and generosity.
“The Youth Crisis Center is extremely proud to have a wonderful partnership with Industry West,” said Pete Hicks, Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Youth Crisis Center. “As a nonprofit organization serving greater Northeast Florida, we depend on companies and organizations' generosity to continue to make a difference in the communities we serve.”
